SoftEXIT Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 8, 2026
Last Updated: September 8, 2026
SoftEXIT, LLC (“SoftEXIT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to minimizing the collection and use of personal information whenever reasonably possible.
This Privacy Policy explains how SoftEXIT collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you access or use SoftEXIT websites, applications, products, and services, including SoftEXIT Studio and SoftEXIT Groups (collectively, the “Services”).
It also explains the choices and rights that may be available to you regarding your personal information.
1. Our Privacy Philosophy
SoftEXIT believes that using a software product should not require surrendering your privacy.
SoftEXIT does not intentionally track users for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking purposes. We do not build advertising profiles about our users, and we do not sell personal information as a business model.
Our objective is to collect and process only the information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and administer our Services.
However, no modern Internet service operates in complete isolation. SoftEXIT Services rely upon browsers, operating systems, networks, hosting infrastructure, payment processors, identity providers, email delivery systems, security technologies, and other third-party technologies. Some of these technologies may independently collect technical information, telemetry, cookies, device information, IP addresses, or other information as part of their operation.
SoftEXIT makes reasonable efforts to select and configure technologies in a manner consistent with our privacy philosophy and to avoid unnecessary tracking. Nevertheless, SoftEXIT cannot guarantee that every third-party technology, network, browser, device, or service involved in accessing or delivering our Services performs no tracking, telemetry, logging, or other data collection.
We also cannot guarantee complete anonymity or absolute privacy when using an Internet-connected service.
If you require a service that guarantees complete anonymity, zero technical logging, or the complete absence of third-party data collection, SoftEXIT Services may not be appropriate for you, and we encourage you to choose another provider that better satisfies those requirements.
We would rather be transparent about these limitations than make privacy promises that technology cannot reliably guarantee.
2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed through:
- SoftEXIT Studio;
- SoftEXIT Groups;
- softexit.com and other SoftEXIT-operated websites and web applications;
- account registration and authentication;
- customer administration and organization management;
- billing and subscription management;
- customer support;
- communications from SoftEXIT; and
- other SoftEXIT services that reference this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that may be linked to or integrated with the Services and that maintain their own privacy policies.
3. Our Role When Processing Information
Information SoftEXIT Controls
SoftEXIT generally determines the purposes and means of processing information necessary to operate our business and Services, including information relating to accounts, authentication, subscriptions and licensing, billing administration, security, service usage, customer support, and communications with SoftEXIT.
For this information, SoftEXIT generally acts as the business or data controller, as those terms may be defined under applicable privacy laws.
Customer Data in SoftEXIT Studio
SoftEXIT Studio enables organizations to create applications, databases, forms, workflows, reports, and other solutions that may contain information concerning their employees, customers, vendors, members, or other individuals.
The organization using SoftEXIT Studio generally determines what information is collected through those applications and how that information is used.
For such Customer Data, the customer generally acts as the data controller or business, and SoftEXIT processes the information on the customer's behalf as a service provider or data processor.
If you have questions or wish to exercise privacy rights concerning information stored in a SoftEXIT Studio application operated by one of our customers, you should normally contact that organization directly.
User Content in SoftEXIT Groups
SoftEXIT Groups allows users to create profiles, participate in groups, communicate, post information, and interact with other users.
SoftEXIT processes information necessary to operate SoftEXIT Groups, while users remain responsible for information they choose to publish, communicate, or otherwise make available through the Service.
4. Information We Collect
Depending upon how you interact with SoftEXIT, we may collect account and identity information such as your name, email address, username, organization, account identifiers, authentication information, account status, permissions, and security roles.
For organizational accounts, we may process organization membership, administrative roles, invitations, access groups, licensing assignments, and permissions.
When you purchase a paid Service, we may process billing contact information, subscription information, license quantities, transaction identifiers, payment status, invoice information, and identifiers provided by our payment processor. Payment-card information may be submitted directly to our payment processor so that SoftEXIT does not need to receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
SoftEXIT Studio customers determine the information contained in applications and databases they create. Consequently, Customer Data may contain categories of information selected by the customer rather than SoftEXIT.
SoftEXIT Groups may process profile information, group memberships, posts, comments, messages, uploaded content, reactions, preferences, and other information users voluntarily provide.
When you use our Services, systems necessary to operate and secure the Services may automatically process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and operating-system information, session information, access times, application errors, authentication events, and security events.
We do not collect technical information for the purpose of creating behavioral advertising profiles or tracking your activity across unrelated websites.
5. How We Use Information
SoftEXIT may use information to provide and operate the Services; authenticate users; manage organizations, memberships, permissions, subscriptions, and licenses; process payments; provide customer support; maintain security; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot problems; maintain backups; improve reliability and performance; comply with legal obligations; and protect SoftEXIT, our customers, users, and others.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information for capacity planning, service reliability, security, and product improvement where that information cannot reasonably identify an individual.
SoftEXIT does not intentionally use your activity across unrelated websites to profile you or target advertising to you.
6. Tracking, Analytics, Cookies, and Similar Technologies
SoftEXIT's policy is to avoid unnecessary user tracking.
We may use cookies, browser storage, session identifiers, server logs, and similar technologies where reasonably necessary for authentication, security, preferences, application functionality, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of the Services.
Some third-party components or services involved in delivering the Services may use their own cookies, telemetry, logs, or similar technologies. Although SoftEXIT attempts to minimize unnecessary third-party collection, we cannot represent that every technology involved in delivering an Internet-based service is entirely free from independent data collection.
Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or technologies, SoftEXIT will provide the legally required choices.
Disabling technologies necessary for authentication, security, or application functionality may prevent portions of the Services from working correctly.
7. Artificial Intelligence Features
Certain SoftEXIT Services may provide optional artificial intelligence or machine-assisted functionality.
When a user intentionally invokes an AI-enabled feature, information necessary to perform the requested operation may be processed by SoftEXIT systems and, where applicable, by an artificial intelligence service provider acting on SoftEXIT's behalf.
SoftEXIT seeks to limit information provided to such services to information reasonably necessary to perform the requested function.
Customers and users are responsible for determining whether information they submit to an AI-enabled feature is appropriate for such processing.
SoftEXIT does not claim ownership of Customer Data merely because that information is processed by an AI-enabled feature.
8. How We Disclose Information
SoftEXIT does not sell personal information as a business model and does not provide Customer Data to third parties for their independent behavioral advertising purposes.
We may disclose information to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the Services, including providers of hosting, infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, authentication, security, monitoring, backup, support, and optional artificial intelligence functionality.
If your account belongs to an organization, authorized administrators of that organization may have access to information associated with the organization's account.
Information you intentionally share through SoftEXIT Groups or collaborative Studio functionality may be visible to other authorized users according to applicable permissions and settings.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce agreements, protect the Services, or protect the rights and safety of SoftEXIT, our customers, users, or others.
Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, bankruptcy, or sale of some or all of SoftEXIT's business, subject to applicable law and confidentiality obligations.
9. We Do Not Sell Your Data
SoftEXIT does not sell Customer Data stored within SoftEXIT Studio.
SoftEXIT does not sell private SoftEXIT Groups communications.
SoftEXIT does not operate a business model based upon selling personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
If these practices ever materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
10. Customer Data Ownership
As between SoftEXIT and a SoftEXIT Studio customer, the customer retains its rights in Customer Data submitted to the Services, subject to the applicable agreement.
SoftEXIT does not acquire ownership of Customer Data merely because it is hosted, transmitted, backed up, indexed, or processed by the Services.
Users retain their rights in original content submitted to SoftEXIT Groups, subject to the permissions reasonably necessary for SoftEXIT to host, display, transmit, reproduce, back up, and otherwise operate the Service.
11. Data Retention
SoftEXIT retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, satisfy contractual commitments, maintain security, comply with legal and financial obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods vary by type of information.
Customer Data may be retained according to the customer's subscription, contract, configuration, and deletion instructions. Backup copies may remain temporarily following deletion until overwritten through normal backup-retention processes.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or de-identify it unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
12. Account Closure and Deletion
Users may request closure of their SoftEXIT accounts, subject to applicable contractual, organizational, legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements.
Where information is controlled by a SoftEXIT Studio customer, requests concerning that information should generally be directed to that customer.
Deletion may not immediately remove information contained in backups, legally required records, security records, independently created records of other users, or properly de-identified information.
13. Security
SoftEXIT uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, acquisition, alteration, disclosure, destruction, or loss.
Depending upon the circumstances, these safeguards may include access controls, authentication, role-based authorization, encryption during transmission, secure password handling, logging, monitoring, infrastructure protections, backups, restricted administrative access, and incident-response procedures.
No Internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security or privacy. SoftEXIT therefore does not promise that unauthorized access, disclosure, interception, technical failure, or other privacy or security incidents can never occur.
Users are responsible for protecting their credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized account access.
14. Security Incidents
SoftEXIT maintains procedures intended to identify and respond to suspected security incidents.
If an incident results in unauthorized access to personal information and notification is required by applicable law, SoftEXIT will provide required notifications to affected customers, individuals, regulators, or other parties as applicable.
Where SoftEXIT processes Customer Data on behalf of an organization, we will cooperate with that organization as required by applicable law and contractual obligations.
15. Children's Privacy
SoftEXIT Services are not directed to children under 13, and SoftEXIT does not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children under 13.
Organizations using SoftEXIT Studio are responsible for determining whether applications they create are appropriate for children and for satisfying applicable parental consent, privacy, education, and data-protection requirements.
If SoftEXIT learns that information from a child was collected directly by SoftEXIT in circumstances requiring authorization that was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to address or delete that information.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending upon applicable law and where you reside, you may have rights to access, obtain, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of certain personal information.
You may also have rights concerning consent, targeted advertising, sale or sharing, sensitive personal information, profiling, and appeals of certain privacy decisions.
These rights are subject to applicable legal limitations and exceptions.
SoftEXIT will not unlawfully discriminate against individuals for exercising applicable privacy rights.
When SoftEXIT processes information solely on behalf of a Studio customer, privacy requests concerning that Customer Data should generally be submitted to the customer controlling the information.
17. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Residents of California and certain other states may have additional rights under applicable comprehensive state privacy laws.
Depending upon the applicable law and circumstances, these may include rights to know or access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, obtain portable copies, opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and appeal certain privacy decisions.
SoftEXIT does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Where applicable law recognizes qualifying universal opt-out mechanisms or privacy preference signals, SoftEXIT will honor such signals to the extent required by law.
18. International Users
SoftEXIT is a United States company. Information processed through the Services may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other jurisdictions in which our service providers operate.
Where applicable law requires a lawful basis for processing, SoftEXIT may rely upon performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, consent, or another legally recognized basis.
Where legally required for international transfers, SoftEXIT will use an appropriate legally recognized transfer mechanism or safeguard.
Individuals in certain jurisdictions may also have the right to complain to an applicable data protection authority.
19. Sensitive Information
SoftEXIT Studio permits customers to create their own data structures. Consequently, a customer could configure an application to collect sensitive information.
Customers are responsible for determining whether collection of such information is lawful, necessary, and appropriately protected.
Users and customers should not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, health information, financial credentials, biometric information, or similarly sensitive information unless the applicable application is intended and appropriately configured to process such information.
20. Third-Party Services
SoftEXIT Services may interact with third-party services, including infrastructure providers, payment processors, identity providers, email providers, integrations, and other technologies.
These parties may process information according to their own privacy practices when acting independently from SoftEXIT.
While SoftEXIT attempts to select providers and configure our Services consistently with our privacy principles, we cannot guarantee or control every action performed by an independent third-party service, Internet provider, browser, operating system, device, or network.
Users who require absolute assurance that no third party will collect technical information while they use an Internet service should not use the SoftEXIT Services.
21. Payment Processing
Third-party payment providers may process payment-card information, billing information, fraud-prevention information, and transaction data.
SoftEXIT may receive customer identifiers, transaction identifiers, subscription information, payment status, invoice information, and limited payment-method information necessary to administer subscriptions without receiving complete payment-card credentials.
22. Service Communications
SoftEXIT may send communications necessary to administer accounts and Services, including account verification, authentication, invitations, password or security events, organization membership, billing, subscriptions, service changes, security notices, and customer support.
Users may not be able to opt out of communications necessary to operate an active account.
Optional marketing communications, if used, will provide applicable opt-out mechanisms.
23. Automated Processing
SoftEXIT may use automated systems for application functionality, security, fraud prevention, analytics, or optional AI-enabled features.
SoftEXIT does not intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects concerning individuals solely through automated processing unless the applicable Service specifically provides such functionality and appropriate disclosures and protections are provided.
Studio customers who build applications that perform such decision-making are responsible for evaluating their own legal obligations.
24. Data Processing Agreements
Business customers requiring contractual provisions governing SoftEXIT's processing of Customer Data may request an applicable Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”).
Such agreements may address processing instructions, confidentiality, security, subprocessors, individual-rights requests, security incidents, deletion and return of Customer Data, and international data transfers.
25. Changes to This Privacy Policy
SoftEXIT may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements.
The “Last Updated” date will identify the latest revision.
Where legally required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

27. Relationship to Other Agreements
This Privacy Policy describes SoftEXIT's privacy practices. It does not replace applicable Terms of Service, subscription agreements, Data Processing Agreements, or other contractual terms.
Where a separate agreement establishes additional privacy or data-protection obligations concerning Customer Data, that agreement will apply according to its terms.
28. Our Commitment to Transparency
Privacy technology and privacy law continue to evolve. SoftEXIT believes it is more responsible to describe the limitations of Internet privacy openly than to make absolute promises that cannot realistically be guaranteed.
Our commitment is therefore straightforward:
We will make reasonable efforts not to track you unnecessarily. We will not intentionally build behavioral advertising profiles about you. We will not sell your Customer Data as a business model. We will work to minimize unnecessary collection of your information. And we will be candid about the fact that we cannot guarantee complete privacy, anonymity, or the behavior of every technology involved in delivering an Internet service.
If those limitations are unacceptable for your privacy requirements, please do not use the SoftEXIT Services and select another provider that better meets your requirements.
